FAQ

Do I need an account?

No. You can start using the app right away.

Can I sync between iPhone and iPad?

Yes, automatically, when both devices are signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account. You can check the sync status in the settings menu. Without iCloud, the app still works on the device.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Everything runs on your device. Changes made offline are sent to iCloud when you reconnect.

How are backups handled?

The app saves an automatic backup on the device once a day (the last 7 are kept). “Export Data” saves all your concepts and images as a single zip file, and “Import Data” restores it.

How do I move to a new device?

Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple Account on the new device and your data will sync. We also recommend keeping a file made with “Export Data”.

How many can I create for free?

Every feature is free for up to 20 concepts. Creating the 21st and beyond requires “Unlimited Concepts”, a one-time purchase with no monthly fee. Open the purchase screen from “Unlimited Concepts” in the settings menu (the gear at the top left). Without buying, you can still read, edit and delete your concepts, sync with iCloud, and export or import your data.

Can I keep my purchase on a new device?

Yes. The purchase works on your iPhone and iPad with the same Apple Account. On a new device or after reinstalling, tap “Restore Purchases” on the purchase screen. Refunds can be requested through Apple’s Report a Problem.

How do I write math?

Use the math button in the editor and enter TeX. Tap an inserted formula to edit or remove it.
