Privacy Policy

Effective: November 2, 2026

This policy explains how the iPhone and iPad app “Cognicull” (the “App”) handles your information.

Information we collect

The developer of the App does not collect personal information or usage data. There is no account sign-up, and the App uses no advertising, analytics, or tracking.

Data you create

Concepts (titles, text, keywords), images, trees, and collections you create are stored on your device. If your device is signed in to iCloud, they are synced between your devices with the same Apple Account through Apple’s iCloud (the CloudKit private database). This data is stored in your own iCloud and cannot be viewed or accessed by the developer. iCloud is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Automatic backups are kept only on your device. Files created with “Export Data” are passed only to the destination you choose.

Photos

When inserting an image, the App reads only the images you pick from your photo library. It does not request access to your whole library.

Contact and bug reports

“Contact Us” and “Report a Bug” open a draft email in your mail app containing the app version, device model, and OS version. You decide whether to send it and may edit it. Emails we receive are used only to respond and fix problems, and are not shared with third parties.

In-app purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. The developer does not receive your name or payment details. Whether you have purchased is checked on your device with Apple’s App Store.

Sharing with third parties

The developer does not share or sell your information to third parties.

Children’s privacy

The App does not collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age.

Deleting your data

You can delete concepts in the App’s editor. Deleting the App removes data on the device. Data synced to iCloud can be deleted in Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage.

Changes

Any changes to this policy will be published on this page.
